Q-mic at the Quantum Career Symposium
On April 8th, 2022, the emblematic building of La Pedrera, in downtown Barcelona, hosted the Quantum Career Symposium.
The symposium was inspired by the EU CARLA project, which has worked with 100 professionals of the industry and academia, entrepreneurs and experts in innovation, researchers and students as well as experts and activists in different diversity dimensions to create career camps of excellence.
During the entire day event, the audience of undergraduate and graduate students was able to listen and learn about quantum technologies and the many applications that emerging from this amazing field of knowledge.
As part of the program, Robin Camphausen, in representation of the project Q-mic, gave a presentation about the initiative, explaining the issues with current traditional tools for imaging and how quantum enhanced microscopes can improve the sensitivity of imaging for very sensitive samples such as viruses, bacteria, micro-organisms or molecules, being able to retrieve high resolution images without damaging the sample.
